Data policy regarding the BoardHand hardware and web configurator.

Hardware Data Collection

BoardHand collects exactly zero data.

The infrared sensors generate thousands of frames per second of point-cloud data. 100% of this data is processed locally on the internal ARM Cortex-M7 microcontroller, converted into standard X/Y HID coordinates, and immediately discarded.

The hardware possesses no network interface (no Wi-Fi, no Bluetooth). It is physically incapable of transmitting telemetry, usage metrics, or biometric data to us or anyone else.

Web Configurator

The optional web configuration utility uses the WebUSB API to communicate directly with the device firmware from your local browser.

  • We do not log the changes you make to your device.
  • We do not track your IP address when using the tool.
  • The tool can be saved locally as an HTML file and run entirely offline.

Preorder Data

When you place a preorder deposit, we collect only the necessary information to fulfill the transaction (name, email, shipping address, payment details). Payment processing is handled securely by Stripe. We do not sell this information.
